For privacy requests (access, correction, deletion, or objection), please email studio@lenspathil.pro with the subject line “Privacy Request”.
2. Legal framework
We process personal data in accordance with Israeli law, including:
- the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741–1981 (as amended) and regulations enacted thereunder;
- the Protection of Privacy Regulations (Data Security), 5777–2017;
- the Protection of Privacy Regulations (Transfer of Data to Databases Abroad), 5761–2001, where applicable; and
- guidance of the Privacy Protection Authority (PPA) at the Israel Ministry of Justice.
Where we maintain a database of personal data as defined by law, we treat such data in accordance with registration and security duties applicable to our activity and risk level.
3. Categories of personal data we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Identity and contact data: full name, email address, telephone number, postal or billing address.
- Enrollment and course data: selected course or workshop, preferred dates, camera equipment notes, attendance records, invoice and payment references (including last digits of payment methods where processed by our payment providers).
- Communications: content of emails, form messages, and call notes related to enrollment or support.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, approximate location derived from IP, pages visited, and referral URL — collected via server logs and essential site functions.
- Consent records: cookie preference stored in your browser under the key
lenspathil_cookie_ok, and records of privacy acknowledgements on enrollment forms.
We do not intentionally collect special categories of data (e.g., health, biometric identifiers for identification, or political opinions). Please do not submit such information via our forms.
4. Purposes and legal bases
Under Israeli privacy law, we process personal data for a legitimate purpose and, where required, with the data subject’s informed consent or another lawful ground. We use data to:
- Provide courses and workshops — manage enrollment, scheduling, studio access, certificates, and customer service (performance of a contract / steps prior to contract).
- Communicate with you — respond to inquiries and send operational messages about your booking (legitimate interest / contract).
- Issue invoices and comply with law — bookkeeping, tax, and consumer protection obligations under Israeli law (legal obligation).
- Improve and secure the website — maintain availability, diagnose errors, and prevent abuse (legitimate interest).
- Store cookie consent — remember that you accepted the cookie notice via localStorage (consent).
- Marketing (optional) — only if you opt in to receive course updates; you may withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.
5. How we collect data
- Directly from you via enrollment/contact forms, email, phone, or in person at our studio.
- Automatically when you visit lenspathil.pro (server logs and essential local storage for cookie consent).
- From payment or scheduling providers when you complete a paid enrollment (limited to data needed to confirm payment).
6. Cookies and local storage
We use a minimal approach:
- Essential local storage: when you click “Accept” on our cookie banner, we store
lenspathil_cookie_okin your browser’s localStorage so the banner is not shown again. - Essential cookies / technical storage: may be set by our hosting provider for security, load balancing, or session continuity.
We do not currently run third-party advertising trackers on this site. If that changes, we will update this Policy and, where required, seek additional consent.
You can clear localStorage and cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential storage may cause the cookie banner to reappear.
7. Sharing and processors
We do not sell personal data. We may share data with:
- Service providers acting as processors on our behalf (e.g., website hosting, email delivery, accounting/payment processors), under agreements requiring confidentiality and appropriate security;
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) under confidentiality;
- Authorities when required by Israeli law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
Instructors engaged by Lens Path IL Ltd may access enrollment details needed to run a class (name, contact for logistics, skill notes you provided).
8. International transfers
Our primary operations and storage are in Israel. If we use cloud or email providers that process data outside Israel, we will take steps consistent with the Protection of Privacy Regulations (Transfer of Data to Databases Abroad), 5761–2001, and applicable PPA guidance — for example, ensuring the destination offers an adequate level of protection or obtaining other lawful mechanisms and contractual safeguards.
9. Data security
We implement organizational and technical measures appropriate to the nature of the data and the risks involved, in line with the Data Security Regulations, including:
- access control on a need-to-know basis;
- secure transmission (HTTPS) for this website;
- password and account hygiene for staff systems;
- retention limits and secure disposal of paper and digital records when no longer needed;
- incident handling procedures, including assessment of whether notification to the PPA or data subjects is required.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above:
- Enrollment and billing records: typically up to seven (7) years after the end of the relevant tax year, or longer if required by Israeli tax or commercial law.
- Inquiry messages (no enrollment): generally up to twenty-four (24) months after the last correspondence, unless you ask us to delete sooner and no legal hold applies.
- Marketing consents: until you withdraw consent.
- Server logs: typically for a short period (e.g., up to 90 days) unless needed for security investigations.
11. Your rights under Israeli privacy law
Subject to the conditions and exceptions in the Protection of Privacy Law, you may have the right to:
- Be informed about whether we hold data about you in a database and to receive information about that data;
- Inspect personal data relating to you that is held in a database, in the manner prescribed by law;
- Request correction or deletion of data that is incomplete, incorrect, unclear, or not up to date;
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (without affecting prior lawful processing);
- Object to certain uses, including direct marketing, where applicable;
- Lodge a complaint with the Privacy Protection Authority (Israel).
To exercise rights, contact studio@lenspathil.pro. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with statutory timelines where specified.
Privacy Protection Authority contact information is published on the official website of the Israel Ministry of Justice / PPA.
12. Children and minors
Our courses are generally intended for adults (18+). Enrollment of minors requires a parent or legal guardian’s consent and contact details. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children online without such consent. If you believe we have collected data from a minor inappropriately, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
13. Photographs and class materials
During courses, students may create photographs and peer critique materials. Class work remains the responsibility of the student who creates it. We may ask separately for written permission before using student images for Lens Path IL marketing. We do not publish identifiable student portraits on this website without consent.
14. Third-party links
Our site may link to external sites (e.g., maps or payment pages). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for third-party sites.
15. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change accordingly. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the site after posting constitutes notice of the updated Policy, except where consent is required by law for a new processing purpose.
